Atom 4 ON 4
The aim of the Atom 4 on 4 Hockey Festival is to play hockey in its purist form … “shinny hockey style”. This one-day event provides an opportunity for Atom aged hockey players to play, in essence, an organized shinny hockey festival. There is no score clock, and the ice surface is divided into sections to allow for two games to be played simultaneously. Atom aged players participate in the festival with no emphasis on who wins and who loses. This is a great opportunity for children that have been together for a long time to play against their teammates and have a different coach.
Hockey Players registered on an Atom team (between the ages 8 and 10) will each play a total of 3 “shinny style” hockey games in the one-day festival. The cost of registration is $20/player; kids can register as individuals or as teams. For recognition of their participation the athletes receive a jersey, various promotional items, as well as a lot of fun.
Attached is/are the form/s needed to register your team (it can be some or all) or by individual player and a tentative schedule. The registration form/s need to be filled out and returned as soon as possible. Once a player/team is/are registered the “shinny” teams will be set so that players that are normally teammates during the season will be spread thru out the “shinny” teams. Consideration will be given to siblings, coach/child sets, transportation and other needs. There will be one registered coach per “shinny” team. I will send back the complete schedule and rosters so that all the participating players and coaches can be informed of their schedules and teams. Teams will be designated by the colour of their jerseys.
